Planika Walker are low trekking shoes for hiking, traveling, and everyday walking in nature. They feature a classic European design based on high-quality materials and durability, rather than the marketing hype surrounding ultralight synthetic shoes.
The shoe is based on a high-quality nubuck leather upper with a water-repellent finish. This material is abrasion-resistant, protects the foot, and with proper care will last for many seasons. Planika consciously adheres to the philosophy that a good hiking boot must be sturdy. Therefore, these boots are not extremely light, but the reward is greater stability and a significantly longer lifespan than textile models.
Inside the shoe is an AIR-TEX membrane, which ensures a balanced ratio between breathability and moisture protection. This keeps your feet comfortable during longer hikes or trips.
Anatomically shaped antibacterial insoles increase walking comfort, while a PUR cushioning midsole in the heel absorbs shocks when stepping. The high-quality Vibram Ananasi sole ensures sure footing, providing good grip on rocks, forest trails, and city pavements.
The history of the Planika brand dates back to the 1950s, when it began manufacturing outdoor and sports footwear in Slovenia. After 2000, the German company Meindl joined the company, which brought further technological development. To this day, the company produces footwear that combines traditional European shoemaking with modern materials.
