Yate Maty – a bivouac tent, a solution that bridges the gap between a bivouac sack and a minimalist tent. It was designed for situations where a bivouac alone isn’t enough, but a traditional tent is unnecessarily heavy and bulky. Maty adds structural headroom (a canopy) – thereby significantly increasing comfort and usability.
The basic principle is simple: you stay low to the ground (wind resistance), but at the same time you have a protected space for breathing, maneuvering, and limited movement. That is exactly what standard bivouacs lack.
