The 1–1–3 construction offers the ideal balance of thermal comfort, sensitivity, and reliability. The Nowind PL North material protects against wind, cold, and wet snow. Even when wet, they continue to keep you warm. The palms and exposed areas are reinforced with flexible Murevan with Kevlar fibers, so you don't have to worry about rough granite, cold metal ice axes, or sharp ridge holds.
Gacmo gloves are versatile – from high-altitude climbs to winter hiking and ski mountaineering. They fit perfectly, dry quickly, are windproof, and are surprisingly lightweight.
We've had this piece in our range for a while now. For example, in 2015 I climbed the Tatra Tupa in them. It was winter climbing in more than rough conditions. The wind was up to 160 km/h, the gloves did not get wet and were warm. Even though it was -15 °C, the ice gloves were great. If I had worn finger gloves, I could have handled the carbines or camera better. But my hands would have gotten pretty cold. And if I'd worn mittens, I'd have been fine. But I'd have a hard time untying knots or taking pictures. So I could stick my hands in the freezing firmament as well as catch Granite Rockies. And a little advice in closing don't grow thin fingered gloves under three fingered or mittens that aren't loose enough. You will prevent circulation and you will be colder in two layers than one.
