• confidence in extreme conditions, where equipment failure means trouble and danger to life
• comfort during long stays outdoors
• protection from wind, rain, and frost, while still being lightweight
• a jacket that really works
Expedition is not a jacket for everyone. It is for those who need to be outside, even when the weather is very harsh. For ski mountaineers, climbers, polar explorers, travelers, and outdoor enthusiasts who want equipment with a real story behind it.
Since 2023, it has carried the "Tested in Antarctica" trademark, awarded by Masaryk University. This is not paid advertising, but confirmation that the jacket has fulfilled its declared properties in the extreme conditions of the Czech scientific station J. G. Mendel.
Your jacket has been gently removed from the hanger using octopus tentacles and placed on a mannequin covered in silk velvet.
A team of dozens of octopuses inspected it, removed the dust grains from the surface and made sure it was in great condition.
Our packaging specialist travelled from the other side of the world, lit a scented candle and used a magic wand to erase the carbon footprint. The assembled crowd of octopuses placed the jacket in a gold-dusted box in reverent silence.
Everyone then celebrated the event, and the entire group watched as the box was carefully loaded into his gleaming van by the livery company driver.
Afterwards, our entire city erupted in cheers and followed the package's journey to your hands on the app.
I hope you enjoyed your hike in the mountains and the jacket did its job. If you send a photo, we'll put it on our wall with the text "Customer of the Year". And we can't wait for you to buy maybe a pair of pants!
The basis is a 3-layer Czech Nanomembrane®, which is strong, abrasion-resistant, water-resistant, highly vapor-permeable, and reliably windproof. The anatomical but looser cut allows for layering and long-term comfort when moving or standing in the cold.
Details that make sense in the field:
• Helmet-compatible hood with reinforced peak, 3-point adjustment, and the option to pack it into the collar
• WR zippers with cover flap and "garage" slider – chin and neck protection without pressure marks
• Two-way Teva main zipper, securely sewn and then taped
• Anatomically shaped sleeves and elbows, Velcro on the wrists – easy to operate with one hand
• Ventilation openings on the sides – more accessible
• Significantly extended back, internal drawstring for tightening at the sides
• Low-set hand pockets with inner "sub-pocket" for glasses
• Chest pockets: left outer, right inner
• Forearm pocket (ID card, notepad) with WR zipper
• Inner and outer hanging loop
• Printed inner label – space for name, phone number, notes
Every detail was designed with long-term use in cold, windy, and wet conditions in mind.
Photographer Mirek Bednařík from the Arctic - It was -22°C in Norway, I wore a 3-layer Icewar jacket and a 4-layer jacket from you on top of it, and I felt like Alice in Wonderland. Maximum satisfaction.
Tip from Faramugo:We recommend pairing the Expedition jacket with the functional Ross merino insulating shirt and CARP neck warmer, which is included in the package. This creates a system ready for real expeditions.

2 - 3 months of wearing the jacket corresponds to more than 3 years of wearing it in the usual way. Moreover - 14.000 km, that's how long the jacket, made in the Czech Republic, has to travel. Rain or snow. The wind blows strong, changing strength and direction. It carries with it abrasive, sand and sea salt. Temperatures change rapidly, from sweatshirt values, above zero, to severe frosts around -20°C. Due to the weak ozone layer, there is intense UV radiation, damaging, among other things, the fabric structure. This is what a short Antarctic summer looks like, and this is what Expedition jackets have to withstand.
In Antarctica, the negative impact of human activity is minimised. This makes it unique among the continents. Polar explorers take all their rubbish back home. Renewable energy sources are preferred. Therefore, even the clothing must meet the strictest environmental standards and demands on the quality of material and workmanship. Read more:
